Preparations for the Unicon 22 – Unicycling World Championship 2026 in Steyr
are in full swing. We would like to inform you about several important updates
and reminders that are relevant for all participants.
🗓️ Final Schedule Published
The final schedule for Unicon 22 has now been published.
Compared to earlier versions, some changes have been made.
We therefore kindly ask all participants to review the current
schedule carefully to stay informed about the planned procedures.
Please note that in individual cases, minor adjustments may still
be necessary once registration has closed and the final
number of participants is confirmed. This may particularly affect
the duration of individual disciplines.
At present, it is also planned that the disciplines 10K and
Criterium could still be swapped if necessary.
Should any changes occur, we will communicate them in due time.

⏰ Reminder: Payment Deadline & Medical Certificate
Please be reminded that 15 February 2026 is the
final payment deadline for the first registration phase.
Your registration is only considered complete once payment has been received.
For participation in the competitions, a Medical Fitness Certificate
is required for every participant.
This medical certificate must confirm fitness to compete,
be no older than 12 months, and must be uploaded
to the registration portal.

🏑 Team Sports – Important Clarifications
We would like to clarify the following points regarding team sports:
Hockey
There will be a Women’s Tournament and a Junior Tournament (ages 0–16).
Registration for both tournaments is team-based only;
individual registration is not possible.
Both the Women’s and Junior Hockey tournaments will be held as
fun tournaments.
No world championship title will be awarded in these tournaments.
They can be selected in addition to Hockey A or
Hockey B.
Basketball
The Junior Tournament (ages 0–16) will take place if a minimum of
six teams is reached. If this number is not met,
registered teams will be assigned to the Basketball B tournament.
The Junior Basketball tournament will also be held as a
fun tournament with no world championship title.
Participation is limited to one tournament only:
Basketball A, Basketball B, or Junior.
🎬 Unicon 22 Movie Night
We are excited to announce another program highlight of Unicon 22:
the Unicon Movie Night!
The Movie Night will take place on 1 August 2026 and provides a platform
for unicycling videos from the community – from individual riders to teams.
Participation requirements & rules:
To submit a video, the following conditions apply:
- Participation requires a Unicon 22 Competitor or Non-Competitor Pass
- Video submission deadline: 19 July 2026
- Maximum video length: 3 minutes
(exceptions are possible – please coordinate in advance with the Director
Jelle Dillen)
- Maximum one video per rider or team
- The video must be in landscape format
- The video must not be published before the Movie Night
- The video must be provided in advance via a cloud link
(e.g. WeTransfer or Google Drive)
On the evening of the Movie Night, videos may optionally be released as
YouTube premieres.
All videos published on YouTube will later be compiled in a
Unicon 22 Movie Night playlist.
Video submission:
Please send your cloud link by email to:
unlimitedunicyclecrew@gmail.com
The email should include the following information:
- Title of the video
- Short description of the rider(s) and/or team
- Optional: background information about the video
- Email subject: “Unicon Movie Night – Name”
(“Name” = video title or rider/team name)
If more videos are submitted than can be shown during the Movie Night,
20 videos will be selected for screening.
All additional submissions will be shown during Unicon in the
Social Areas.
More information about the Movie Night will be published on our website soon.
🛏️ Accommodation & Camping
Children aged 0 to 5 years (U6) may participate free of charge as
Non-Competitors.
For children who do not require their own bed, please make sure
not to book a bed in the registration portal.
In this case, please contact our organization team in advance
so we can take this into account when planning accommodation.
Room allocation (who sleeps in which room) will be handled separately at a later
date. No action is required at this time.
Additionally, we would like to inform you that we are currently in the
final preparation phase to offer a
camping area directly at the Unicon Village.
Once binding information is available, we will publish it immediately.
The riverside campsite in Steyr is already
fully booked.
We therefore kindly ask you to refrain from making further inquiries
to this campsite.
