Preparations for the Unicon 22 – Unicycle World Championships 2026 in Steyr
are continuing at full speed. Over the past few weeks, we have been able to implement several important improvements and introduce new opportunities, which we would like to share with you today.
🛏️ Accommodation Expansion
Good news: We have secured an additional accommodation option for Unicon 22.
This is not an extension of the youth hostel, but a separate accommodation located approximately
3 km from the Unicon Village.
This provides additional lodging options, especially for those who have not yet found a suitable place to stay.
All details and booking options are available as usual in the registration portal.
🚐 Camping at the Unicon Village
We are also pleased to offer a campsite directly at the Unicon Village.
As the availability of this option was delayed, we would like to accommodate those affected:

👉 Anyone who has been waiting for information about the campsite and has therefore not yet registered can still benefit from the early bird discount (offer valid for 7 days only)

We will then take care of adjusting your registration individually.
🥚 Easter Egg – Registration Extension
For those paying close attention, we have hidden a small Easter egg:
👉 The second registration phase has been extended by 18 days
👉 New registration deadline: April 18, 2026
Important: This extension applies only to the second of the three registration phases.
After April 18, 2026, the late registration phase will begin, with increased prices.
If you would like to benefit from the current lower rates, now is the perfect time to register 😊

⛰️ Muni – Important Information
There are some important notes regarding participation in Muni (Mountain Unicycling):

Age restriction in expert categories:
Participation in XC Expert and Uphill (UH) Expert
is not intended for younger riders.

XC Beginner:
Unicycles with a Schlumpf hub are not allowed in the XC Beginner category.
These regulations are intended to ensure fair and safe competition conditions for all participants.
They will also be published as a dedicated rule page on the website and within the registration process.
